Alone We Can Do So Little. Together We Can Do So Much.

Hi, I'm Emma.

I received my Master's in Professional Counseling from Texas State University, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I enjoy working with various populations, including children, teens,  and families, as well as adult individuals.

Engaging in therapy is a courageous act; it requires vulnerability, commitment, and willingness to work through pain and difficulty. These challenges often come with great rewards, including increased self knowledge, acceptance, efficacy, and deeper, improved emotional awareness and regulation, and more meaningful relationship with others.  I have the deepest respect for my clients' courage and seek to create an accepting space where any issue or emotion can be brought up and met with curiosity, non-judgment, and empathy.

Trauma is my area of specialty, particularly traumas that happened earlier in life that are affecting the present. I am also qualified to help clients with many other issues and concerns, including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, family distress, and grief. My approach relies heavily on attachment theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology.
